“Digital storytelling as a reflective exercise for medical professionals" - Presented April 2015 at the Southern Group on Educational Affairs Annual Conference; this poster recounts best practices and challenges that were encountered when teaching health sciences faculty to use digital media for reflection.
“Speed Designing: An innovative faculty development workshop format that supports change" - Presented in April 2014 at the Southern Group on Educational Affairs Annual Meeting; this poster disseminated a novel workshop design modeled after the concept of speed dating. Three areas of scholarship support the principle, Faculty Learning Communities, Diffusion of Innovation, and Peer Coaching.
Bloom’s Taxonomy in Action (MEP-2013-0462.R2) - Published in March 2015; this quick reference tool helps faculty write and revise learning objectives and assessments. This online version was adapted from Adam Persky’s paper copy, with permission, as part of the Health Sciences Faculty Learning Community at VCU.
"Using ExamSoft to Train ExamSoft Users: a flipped approach" - Presented in June 2016 at the ExamSoft Assessment Conference; this presentation conveyed eLearning and Adult Learning Theory that supported a flipped approach to training on computerized testing software.
