Dave L. Dixon is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Pharmacotherapy & Outcomes Science. Dr. Dixon is an affiliate faculty of the VCU Pauley Heart Center and practices in a general cardiology clinic at VCU Health where he provides comprehensive medication management. Dr. Dixon is an Associate Editor for the Journal of the American Pharmacists Association and the Journal of Clinical Lipidology. He is a Fellow of the American Heart Association, National Lipid Association, American College of Clinical Pharmacy, and American College of Cardiology. Dr. Dixon is a past recipient of the New Investigator and Innovations in Teaching Awards from the American Association of College of Pharmacy. He received the school's Excellence in Service award in 2021 and an Outstanding Preceptor Award from the class of 2013. Dr. Dixon has published over 100 peer-reviewed publications and 11 book chapters.
