Dave L. Dixon is an Associate Professor in Ambulatory Care and the Vice-Chair for Clinical Services in the Department of Pharmacotherapy & Outcomes Science. He also serves as Director of the Center for Pharmacy Practice Innovation (CPPI). Dr. Dixon is an affiliate faculty of the VCU Pauley Heart Center and practices in a general cardiology clinic at VCU Health where he provides comprehensive medication management. Dr. Dixon currently serves as Treasurer of the Board of Governors for the Accreditation Council for Clinical Lipidology and Secretary of the Southeast Regional Chapter of the National Lipid Association. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology/American Heart Association Task Force on Clinical Practice Guidelines and the American College of Cardiology Membership Committee and Credentialing/Member Services Committee. Dr. Dixon is the Series Editor of the ACCP Ambulatory Care Self Assessment Panel and has served on the editorial board for the Journal of Clinical Lipidology since 2008. He is a Fellow of the National Lipid Association, American College of Clinical Pharmacy, and American College of Cardiology. Dr. Dixon is a past recipient of the New Investigator and Innovations in Teaching Awards from the American Association of College of Pharmacy. He received an Outstanding Preceptor Award from the VCU School of Pharmacy class of 2013.
