Estela Lajthia completed an ambulatory care-focused PGY-1 residency with the VCU School of Pharmacy and CrossOver Healthcare Ministry free clinic and is currently pursuing her second year of residency in the same field. As part of her residency research project with VCU and CrossOver Healthcare Ministry, she led a pilot coaching program aiming improvement of self-management behaviors and medication adherence in patients with type 2 diabetes.
Estela is passionate about expanding the role of pharmacists in the ambulatory care setting as an integral part of the interprofessional team.
