Robin has a diverse research and clinical background and is skilled in working with human tissues and samples. He has hands-on experience with a variety of genetic techniques including nucleic acid handling, pyrosequencing and next-generation sequencing. First at the Center as a technician, with a strong interest in large-scale investigations, Robin was responsible for increasing sample throughput and decreasing hands-on time by developing protocols for the center’s Biomek NXP Laboratory Automation Workstation. Robin is currently working towards a PhD in Neuroscience, and has remained with the CBRPM for his dissertation research on the role of epigenetics in normal and abnormal neurobiology.
